Zara jacket  Cotton On tee  |  Lulus denim  |  Foley + Corinna bag  |  Cole Haan heels c/o Zappos

If the shoe fits, wear it—or so the saying goes. When we’re talking heels, it takes fit, style, comfort-level, and heel height for me to even consider slipping a pair on. The Justine pump by Cole Haan is both stylish and comfortable in a timeless matte leather that can take you from the workday to evening drinks, no shoe change required. Wear them with plaid and a pop of red for an on-trend autumn look.

Sweater c/o Sézane  |  Agolde denim  |  Franco Sarto loafers (order 1/2 size down)  |  Handbag c/o Furla

I've been in such a rosy mood this year, which is odd, because roses have always been my least favorite flower. I always thought they were too elegant, too stuffy, too mushy and too smelly. I've grown fond of flower scents as I've gotten older (now I understand why grannies buy floral everything), and ever since I discovered the more wild and untamed garden rose variety, I'm all the way on board. It's only appropriate that I should be wearing them now.

Top c/o Sézane  |  Gap denim  |  Gucci flats  |  Aritzia trench coat (similar)  |  Handbag c/o Sézane

Doesn't someone always seem to be talking about Paris? Dreaming about being there, planning a trip there, or actually being there and posting the most envy-inducing content an Instagrammer could post. Once in awhile, I'll don an outfit that makes me feel like I should be able to just pick myself up and insert myself onto the Champs-Élysées taking a rainy day stroll towards the Eiffel Tower.

A few new pieces I've picked up from French brand Sézane seem to do that for me. Dainty textures, tasteful prints, elegant silhouettes, and dreamy knits are just a few elements that set Sézane apart from the noisy mass of fast fashion that hounds us here in the States. Combining this decidedly feminine top with a structured trench coat and menswear-inspired shoes helped me transpose that effortless Parisian look for Seattle streets. If you're lucky enough to be in Paris or New York, you can visit Sézane in-store. For the rest of us, they offer free express shipping to the U.S. if you spend $200, which—trust me—you'll want to.
