Leave it to me to choose a red dress from a collection called Soleil Bleu. It’ll come as no surprise that I’ve been watching a lot of Frasier lately, and in the earlier episodes the housekeeper Daphne is always bobbing about in printed babydoll dresses that—if you ask me—are the epitome of 90s style. Although I didn’t pair mine with chunky mules, black tights, and a mini shoulder bag, I feel like this dress from Sézane truly captures an essence I look for in all of my summer shopping. Breezy, bright, a little playful, and comfortable beyond belief. It’s a bit of an investment for a summer dress, but the fabric is both high-quality and cooling and I’m already looking forward to pulling it out of my summer box year after year!

P.S. sorry not sorry I talk about Frasier so much.

I never do much to switch up my look, so I took the opportunity to dig into the archives of Zipped, find this hair tutorial, and remind myself how to tie up my hair! Although my favorite combination of turquoise + red made a subtle statement, I thought putting my hair up added a little something extra to a basic grey sweater and black pants. All that plus my favorite ladylike handbag made for a perfectly casual workweek look.
