There's no place better than LA to pretend to be a band chick. If only I had been a teen in the nineties and been here when my fave band, American Hi-Fi, was just getting started. At least I can still enjoy their merch—I love the charcoal grey tee paired with a pop of white denim. Edgy gold and black accessories finished off the look for yet another day of sun in SoCal.

It took everything in me not to name this post 'Sk8er-Boi'—trust me, I did in my heart, but I couldn't bring myself to spell 'boy' with an i on my supposedly professional platform. Still, every time I wear these shoes, I end up bopping around to Avril Lavigne in my headphones. These killer kicks paired with a pizza tee and leopard bag made for one of my favorite looks ever—can't wait for fall to wear it again!

Also, I got so many questions on this tee when I wore it on Instagram—happily, it's still available, and on sale for a measly $9, which is less than a bouquet of peonies. KEEP IN MIND—the color on the site is absolutely inaccurate. I ordered this exact tee, and it arrived in this pretty lemon yellow instead of an awkward shade of macaroni and cheese.
