Well, not really, but it was really cold in Norway.
We were there in May with Princess Cruises, and we were expecting it to be spring-like weather...but as you can see, we had to bundle up quite a bit. We headed off the ship late-morning, enjoyed a May Day parade, and stopped to warm up with a cappuccino and some delicious Scandinavian pastries. To end our day, we hoped on a leisurely fjord cruise where we met a lovely Australian couple from the ship.
There really is kind of a feel of Christmas 24/7 in Scandinavia...a lot of ports we found had Christmas shops open year-round, which was fine with me! With everyone getting so excited for fall already (I can count myself in that group during this weird 90-degree heatwave in Seattle), I thought I'd share my go-to looks for cold weather. A neutral graphic tee, gigantic fluffy sweater, denim and sneakers. The beanie is a logical accessory, and the mini-backpack? That's just perfect for traveling to keep your hands free at all times...usually to snap a photo.
