Sprinkling

The rain that decided to show up in Minneapolis today provides the perfect platform for an outfit styled around Dav's killer rain flats, an affordable alternative to wearing TOMS that soak up water like a sponge (I learned from experience yesterday.)

Allsaints top and jacket, Adriano Goldschmied coated jeans, Dorothy Perkins ring, Helene Berman hat, Dav rain flats

After my experience today, I'm pretty sure faux leather can be considered waterproof. That probably explains why I consider leather to be a rainy day essential (unfortunately, excessive water can be damaging to real leather). Allsaints always has the perfect leathers, and today I even found a great tribal print top to add some visual interest to the look. But my favorite part has to be the hat. I have been in love with orange-y rust colors since last fall, and I love how this wide-brim hat is colorful enough to make this outfit interesting without being bright. If you're more of a boot person when it comes to wet weather, check out the unique pairs below. Trust me, they're all on my wishlist.
