Recently, I haven't felt like the city girl I once was a year ago--way back when I was working in the heart of downtown Seattle. Now that I've started my job in Minneapolis, I fiiinnally feel urban again! One of the best parts about spending my days in the city is scoping out the people.
A photo I snapped without looking through the viewfinder--love using this method while walking around!
Women in the city are usually in suits, sheath dresses, patent heels and classic bags. But I've also noticed that Minneapolis is a super creative city, and I can always spot the more artistic/laidback types in clean and simple office-appropriate versions of weekend wear.
The vibe in Minneapolis is worlds apart from Seattle, where the favored colors are black and grey and you can usually see an umbrella on one in three people's arms. I feel so lucky to have experienced both these cities, and I can't wait to venture out farther east someday. It's so exciting to have no clue what the future holds...
